Nashville and Piranhas

We got back from Nashville on Sunday evening and I must say that Nashville is one hell of a town. But also the people with you help make the trip.

We were in Nashville for

1. Women hockey tournament
2. Party like rock stars

Mission Accomplished. We had a great time!

When I first got involved with womens athletic I was very scepticle on the subject. My pas experiences were not very positive. In the past year, I have grown to love it. Our team, at this point, has really become a team and i can' say enough about the positive attitudes of these girls. Even when we lose, we play as a team and everyones heads are held high. Plus, they arent afraid to let their hair down and have some beers and eat BBQ.

I've heard some girls say that other teams they have played for are very strict and had curfews. My philosophy is this.... You signed up to play hockey because its fun. I'm not going to be the one to ruin your fun. The only thing i ask is that you maintain some sort of control and keep in mind that you actually do have to play hockey at some point. I might not be the best coach at teaching skills and drills, but I think as far as people coming together as a team and getting to know each other, we're doing OK.

Well, enough about that I guess, I am just glad that I have this opportunity and have met some very nice people in the process.
